The Committee Aims and Objectives are to:-
“Support the school to deliver learning outcomes and life chances for our children”
We do this by:-
Raising funds to provide items for the direct benefit of the children
Organising events to increase sense of belonging, life experiences and quality family time
Encourage participation from parents and the wider community
The committee has been in operation since January 2012 and was shortlisted by the PTA Association as a finalist for New PTA of the Year in 2013. The Committee organise regular events, such as school fayres and movie club as well as one off events such as a Community Tree Planting Day and the Jubilee Lunch.
We consult with children and staff to fund items that will have the most ipact each term as well as regular donations such as leaving gifts for students moving up to high school and a Chistmas gift for each pupil. This year we have provided funding to subsidise a school trip to London to see The Lion King and play equipment.
Current Committee Members are: – Sam Mason (Chair), Natalie Smith (Treasurer), Christie Jones (Secretary), Heather Francis (Vice Chair), Bev Mann, Laura Flood (Community Officer) Alison Davies, Louise Brealey, Cassie Wilkes (Communications Officer) Kate Griffin, Jane Thomson, Nicki Coxon and Julie Meeson.
We welcome volunteer helpers at all our events.
